Bitters & Pineapple Parsley Glazed Shrimp Recipe



Yield - 6 Portions

INGREDIENTS

½ Lb of Medium Sized Shrimp - Cleaned (16/20) ¾ Tsp of Salt ½ Tsp of Black Pepper 6 - 8 Dashes of ANGOSTURA® aromatic bitters 2 Tbsp of Vegetable Oil 1 Tsp of Minced Garlic ¼ Cup of Pineapple Juice 4 - 5 Dashes of ANGOSTURA® orange bitters 2 Tbsp of Finely Chopped Fresh Parsley

METHOD

  1. Place cleaned shrimp in a small mixing bowl and add salt, black pepper and aromatic bitters. Combine and let marinate for 5 minutes.

  2. In a small sauté pan over high heat, add the vegetable oil and sauté minced garlic for 10 seconds followed by the addition of the shrimp.

  3. Sauté for 45 seconds on each side then add the pineapple juice.

  4. Let sauce reduce by a quarter and using a small spoon, glaze the shrimp with the sauce.

  5. Remove from the heat and finish off by adding the orange bitters and the fresh parsley. Stir to combine and serve with salad or even as a compliment to sautéed vegetables.
