Essential Fried Bake Recipe by Chef Shaun 🇹🇹 Foodie Nation


Yield – 6 Bakes

Ingredients

AP Flour – 2 cups

Salt – 1 tsp

Brown Sugar – ½ tsp

Baking Powder – 2 tsp

Margarine – 1 oz

Water – ¾ cup

Vegetable Oil – 3 cups


Method

1. Add flour, salt, sugar and baking powder to a bowl.

2. Mix until fully incorporated.

3. Cut in your margarine.

4. Make a well in the middle before adding your water.

5. Knead into a slightly rough looking ball of dough.

6. Place in a lightly greased bowl, cover and allow to rest for 60 to 90 minutes.

7. Dived into 6 balls.

8. Cover and allow to rest for 10 minutes.

9. Preheat your vegetable oil to 325F.

10. Using a rolling pin, roll each ball out into a 4-inch disc.

11. Place in your oil and fry until golden brown.

12. Enjoy!
