Parsad Recipe
Ingredients
Water - 3 cups
Granulated Sugar - 1 1/4 cup
Evaporated Milk - 250 ml
Condensed Milk - 350 g
Mixed Essence - 4 tsp
Cinnamon - 1 stick
Minced Ginger - 1 tbsp
Assorted Raisins - 1 cup
Cardamom Powder - 1 1/2 tsp
Anchor Cow Brand Ghee - 400g
Flour - 4 cups (sifted)
Method
1. Heat sauce pot over medium heat.
2. Add water and sugar and mix until sugar is fully dissolved.
3. Add evaporated milk, condensed milk, essence, cinnamon, ginger, raisins & cardamon.
4. Whisk until everything is fully incorporated.
5. Once fully incorporated, stop whisking and allow mixture to heat up to the point where bubbles begin to form on the edges of the sauce pot.
6. Set aside.
7. Heat another sauce pot over medium heat.
8. Add ghee.
9. Once melted, whisk in flour.
10. Continue whisking to remove any lumps and to cook the flour.
11. Do this for 10 to 15 minutes over medium heat.
12. Add your liquid mixture to flour and ghee and continue mixing with a spoon or heat resistant spatula until mixture thickens.
13. You want the mixture to remain a bit wet because the flour will continue to soak up the liquid while cooling.
14. Remove from pot and allow to cool.
15. Enjoy!
