Vegetarian Savory Pancakes 3 Ways: Channa, Red & Green Lentils Recipe by Chef Shaun 🇹🇹 Foodie Nation



Ingredients

Dried Green Lentils – 1 cup (washed)

Basmati Rice – ¼ cup (washed)

Room Temperature Water – 16 oz

Garam Masala – ¼ tsp

Salt – ½ tsp

Yogurt – 2 tbsp

Chadon Beni – 1/8 cup


Dried Chickpeas – 1 cup

Basmati Rice – ¼ cup

Room Temperature Water – 24 oz

Turmeric Powder – ½ tsp

Geera (Cumin) Powder – ¼ tsp

Fermented Pimento Sauce – 1 tsp

Salt – ½ tsp


Dried Red Lentils – 1 cup

Basmati Rice – ¼ cup

Water – 16 oz

Tomato Paste – ½ tbsp

Fermented Pimento Sauce – 2 tsp

Geera (Cumin) Powder – ½ tsp

Salt – ½ tsp


Method

1. Soak peas and rice in water overnight (8 to 10 hours).

2. Add remaining ingredients before blending to a smooth and thick consistency.

3. Heat your 12-inch non-stick frying over low heat (about 4 minutes).

4. Add coconut oil or cooking spray.

5. Pour 1/3 cup of batter onto your frying pan and allow to cook for 3 to 4 minutes per side.
