Versatile Pita Bread Recipe by Chef Shaun 🇹🇹 Foodie Nation
Yield – 8 Flatbreads.
Pita bread is a round, leavened flatbread that is common in Mediterranean and Middle Eastern cuisine. It is made from wheat flour, water, yeast, and salt. Pita bread is distinctive for its unique pocket-like shape, which is created during the cooking process. Pita bread can be served in various ways. It’s often used to scoop up dips like hummus or baba ganoush, or it can be stuffed with fillings such as falafel, grilled meat, vegetables, and sauces to make sandwiches or wraps.
Pita bread is versatile, convenient, and a staple in many cuisines around the world. It can be found in most grocery stores or bakeries and is relatively easy to make at home as well.
